Caution - Electrical Issue to check

RE: 2002 36 FT FDDS, 201K miles #74572

During a planned Inverter Upgrade (OEM Freedom 458 to Freedom SW 3000), we discovered the wire bundle from the battery compartment to the rear of the inverter had chafed at the floor pass thru. It was not visible from inside the Inverter area, but very apparent it had been shorting out for some time when viewed from below. We had been parked for 4 weeks, waiting for the installation, when suddenly the CG pedestal started to trip. This was the first indication something was wrong. I appears the wire bundle was too taught, allowing the wood floor to rub the wires.

It might be wise to check this area in your coaches! Especially high milage coaches.

FYI, If in Traverse City, Mi (Summers) + Ft Meyers, Fla (winters), I highly recommend Pauls RV. He is mobile, and does fine work. Note, he always has a waiting list for service..231 263 7511

Good point, but odd, WRV is known for using too much cabling!
