I fnally changed my shower faucet, I installed a Moen Posi Temp. I gained access by removing a mirror in the galley.

Yes, I got to admit that the shower fixture is very poor quality. My biggest problem with that is not bumping it but simply is impossible to get a reasonable setting. It is either HOT-HOT or it is COLD-COLD I have to fuss with it the entire time I showered.
If I put this into one of my Student houses, I would have been surely sued by now......

I to will need to replace it. Unfortunately I to will need to go the route of taking off mirrors like Wayne because I think this is the only way with the 2005 QS.

Wingding, The 3rd mirror from the inside end comes off without breaking, if you use TLC. I used a blow dryer to heat the glue and gently pried it off with a knife (only the top edge of mine was glued). With the slide closed you can reach in behind the mirror. Don't try to take the 4th mirror back out, it is glued full length unlike the 3rd mirror which is glued only at the top. I did and broke it. $31.95 + $16 shipping to my dealer and then what ever it costs to ship it to me from WA to AR. Also put a couple of nylon ties on the 2 bottom lines to keep the fittings from dropping to the bottom of the slide. Don't ask how I know this. All you need is the Faucet all the fittings fit the Moen unit I installed.

I am so pleased with the quality of the Moen that I am headed to Lowes to get 2 bathroom sink faucets and a kitchen faucet to replace the leaky units installed on my coach.

What a big difference this makes constant water temp and better flow

Excellent Wayne !!
You saved me the trouble of asking you because that was the next thing I was going to do. I am going to follow your system to a T. I see right where your talking about and can see behind where the cut out is behind the mirrors.
I am soooooo antsy to go that this will be done at a latter time but it will be done because I can't have my building friends come in and see that Huntington brass fixture in this coach....
They would be wondering what happened !!!!!!!

Wayne and Wingding.....We just got back from trip and both my wife and I found same problem with facuet in shower....could not keep comfortable temp. Thanks for posting info on replacement fixtures. I will see if I can gain access in my 36MDDS from the kitchen cabinet area. Sounds like Moen is best for replacement....Do you have a mobel number???

I threw the box away but any of the high quality units by Moen, Delta or Price Fister would work. They all conform to national standards so installation is simple. I chose a brand that Lowe's carries so in the event I need parts they would be easy to find. All the good manufactures have units that control temp regardless of pressure that is the key for an RV. Just choose a unit that matches your tastes and it should work fine. We did have problems finding just the shower valve in one we liked so we ended up paying for a complete tub and shower set. The Moen temp control is called Posi Temp.

I just replaced the remaining faucets in our coach with Moen units. It cost about $600 but since we are full timers we thought our home was worth it.
