This CAC does not bolt together. It failed where the fins attach to the tanks.
I'm wondering what a bung plug would be doing in a closet?

Being new to diesels and their turbos; is there a rule of thumb as to what the 400 ISL should be indicating on the Silverleaf for boost, say at sea level, for a given speed and steady throttle position? And further, would this boost indication be indicative as to the relative health of the turbo system in general and/or possible leaks in the CAC in particular? I’m fairly well versed in aircraft EGT’s, exhaust gas temperatures and operational procedures, but have absolutely no idea what is considered a normal/safe operational range for diesels – any ideas?

My turbo boost indicates 32-33.5 at full throttle.

Finally got my rig back. New radiator, repaired Intercooler/CAC, final cost, $4500.
Guess what I got for Christmas!!!
The gasket for the CAC was the problem, It only needed one side to stop the air leak. I bought 2 gaskets at $180 each. I shall try to return the one I didn't use unless someone would like to buy it from me at a reduced price. Redlands Truck & RV did a good job and kept me informed with frequent progress reports.
