I am in Tennessee working while Patty has fun with the grandchildren, so I haven't had a chance to really look into this yet. Maybe you guys and gals can save me precious evening fun-time.

Added water to the fresh tank this morning, when I took the hose off, water kept coming out of the fresh fill nozzle. Switching over from fresh fill to city, the water continued to flow out the nozzle and water pump cycled. Fixed now with a good seal on the fill nozzle.

Too much pressure in the tank...vent hoses blocked?
ball valve at the fresh fill inlet bad?
Something else?

Tom,

The City water inlet fitting has an integrated check valve which has probably failed. You'll probably have to replace that City water inlet fitting which should be readily available at CW or similar RV parts store. Pretty easy DIY job. Remove the middle panel to gain access to the rear of the inlet assembly.

You've done the right thing as a temporary fix by attaching a plug to the inlet.

Hello Tom, I had two inlet check valves fail. Fortunately it is an easy fix. The hardest part is you have to find a replacement water fill with a check valve at a local RV service center first.

What stumped me was it failed at once. Never a sign of impending failure.

Check valves are pretty much "all or nothing" situation. They don't typically just leak a little. Of course, there are exceptions to everything (Huh!?).
