Class 4 receiver hitch falling apart

The welds on my receiver hitch are looking kind of shoddy, actually a couple are "tearing". Rather than getting it re-welded, I would like to replace it.

Does anyone know who the manufacturer of these hitches was and what the part number was?

or is this a "generic" hitch that I can get anywhere? And if so a part number or size?

Thanks for the help in advance,...

Impossible! The experts are obviously busy formulating their replies.

I don't know what manufacturer Western RV used, but is there a label on the hitch? Any hitch shop should be able to remove the old one and bolt and weld a new one on that is much stronger than the original.

Thanks Norm, but there are no stickers I can find other than the towing capacity...

A weld shop quoted over $600 for a new class IV and it seems to me most are available for less than $300 on line, I can do the bolt up myself..

I would be inclined to get it re welded so that you know the welds are good. On a re weld they can build up the welds to make it stronger than any replacemnt you could buy.
