Closet storage solutions?

I am talking about the closet above the washer/dryer. Looking for ideas on how you utilized this to handle storing more than just coats. I am thinking about those storage bins with drawers. It has a 2' opening and is 1' 6" deep.

I built two shelves with 1-inch dowels for legs. Divided the height by three then cut the legs to the right height. Gives DW room bread machine, canned goods, paper products and other household stuff. Happy Wife equals Happy Camper!!

When we installed a washer/dryer I moved the 4 drawers from where the W/D goes into one side of the big sliding closet in the rear, DW wanted to keep some space for coats not all the way in the rear. The space above the W/D is large enough for 4 drawers or shelves if you are not worried about coats.
