The Owner's Manual(2004) lists a chassis Maintenance Schedule at 10k and 16-18k miles. ISL engine servicing is well defined by Cummins and the Manual and by Allison for the transmission. In addition, there are 14(?) chassis lubrication points.

I am not sure whether all 10k and 16-18k mile items are addressed by technicians even when a list is provided. I recently had an Annual (or 18K) Service performed by Cummins Coach Care. They indicated the items on the Schedule are routine and are essentially addressed as part of their normal inspection(excludes hydraulic system which Cummins and others say fluid and filters replacement at 15k is satisfactory). This leads to following questions:
1. Does WRV now have a servicing agreement with Cummins Coach Care?
2. What experience have owners had regarding routine chassis service items?
3. Any recommendations on facilities for handling such service?
4. Would this be an appropriate seminar topic at an ACA rally?

Hello & Welcome Fred:

Regarding your questions for maintenance I do not have any idea about #1. As for #2 I perform most of my own maintenance on my 2001, 38ft, FDDS. I think it is easy, just like servicing a car except larger. As for a recommendation for a service facility, I would recommend Acacia RV, 295 North Hermosa Street, Colton, CA 92324, (909) 824-9674, if you live in So Cal. As for #4 I think it would be a great topic at ACA Rallies.

Dave

alpinefred,
I'm surprised no one has posted a reply to this query since the Quartzsite rally. During the owners' seminar there it was mentioned that Alpine has indeed engaged Cummins to do its maintenance.

Did you come to QZ? If not, come next year. It was our first Alpine rally, and it was a blast.

WRV products are now authorized to be serviced under warranty, or after, through the Cummins Coach Care system. Coach Care Service Centers can repair most items, and what they don't handle, they can refer to the nearest repair facility handling warranty or repairs for that component. There are approximately 30 service centers throughout the US, available 24/7 for emergency service. Check them out at http://www.Funroads.com/service
Also check out the new WRV Customer Service Facility in Yakima, WA at http://www.wrv.com/html/contact_service_center.html
WRV can also handle most every issue there, as well as offering phone support and service center referrals.
