On my '03 ISC, the coolant filter is located on the driver's side of the engine near the back where it bolts to the transmission. I don't know if it is the same for your '05 but believe so. You should be able to see it easily with the engine cover (bed) propped up looking on the right side of the engine.

The ISL engine in the 2005 coaches does not have a coolant filter.

Algoma is right. According to your Owner's Manual, there is a filter. http://www.alpinecoachassociation.co...2005manual.pdf See Page 83 for filter specification.

However, in an older thread, Coolant Filter the filter had been deleted and the manual was never edited.

My 2003 with a 2002 ISL has no filter.

Per Cummins, in order to compete on price, the coolant "filter" was deleted for the ISL in favor of a spec for coolant change that would assure the SCA additive would be sufficient. The filter isn't a filter at all, but a canister of time dissolving SCA to assure coolant integrity. It can be added w/a kit from Cummins if you wish.
