Can anyone tell me where I can find the coolant filter on my 2005 limited. My manual says to replace it after 18k miles. I'm over due. Thanks

Nick,

I'm not sure you have a coolant filter. My '06 doesn't have one; the manual might not have been changed. Also, I can tell you from experience with a radiator replacement at 28000 miles that the coolant wasn't damaged. we replaced the coolant at a local radiator shop that did the radiator and they charged me $1.18/gallon for recycled coolant, which they use all the time, and used to recycle themselves. Almost cheaper to replace the coolant at a radiator shop than change the filter.

There isn't one. The manual is wrong. I looked all over my 05. Finally called Cummins and was told the filter (which actually is not a filter but a method to add additives) was no longer needed.

Thanks guys. You confirmed what I was thinking but I had to ask. I've been wrong before. This forum is great.
