Dash gauges by Actia

My fuel gauge on our 2005 40 fdqs is broken, and the computer display is not readable . I would like to upgrade the panel to digital displays.has any one done that? Would it require all new wiring or is there a plug and play option??

If the fuel gauge problem is just the sending unit, you can replace it w/a generic Moeller brand unit wired backwards (rheostat is same ohms but reversed ground from Alpine application). Sending unit is visible & accessible thru a window in the frame behind LF tire close to the coach floor.

Actia Gauges

Mike,
We have determined that the sender is good, so it seems it is in the gauge. I have emailed Actia, but no response in 7 days. Have you had any luck with them?

I'm told Actia informed the last couple of inquirers they have quit servicing these gauges, but that's not confirmed by me as yet.
Just for grins, I'll check the wire loom diagrams to see where the two wires that attach to the sender terminate on their opposite end.

You can make that diagnosis definite by doing a gauge swap at your next rally. We've done that a couple times to isolate whether its in the gauge or in the coach some place.
