The fabric on my 2004 A&E slide topper awnings are delaminating. The cover is made of 2 layers of fabric which are "glued" together. The two layers are coming apart. A&E warrants OEM installed items for 1 year but if you bought them after market, (like Camping World), it's 3 years. I went to Camping World and they laughed at me. I sent an email to A&E with photos of the defective awning material and they agreed to replace them. Carefully inspect your slide awnings. On the edge of the fabric it maybe delaminating. I would show you a photo, but I am not sure how to attach same. Send me an email, roycin2211@juno.com and I will return a photo of the defective fabric. Other year models should inspect their slide awnings also. Who knows when it starts or leaves off!! Royboy

We have a 2002 w/15,000 miles so it hasn't been used all that much, noticed we could see through the slide toppers when we used it this summer! Just had them replaced at our expense, bummer, but are trying to contact A&E to cover the fabric. Other coaches in our group are older and have seen more use and their slide toppers are fine. This problem may be on older coaches as well.

The easy way to include a picture with your post is first upload the picture to the IRV2 photo gallery. See the icon at the top of this page that says "Photo", right between "features" and "links", follow the instruction on that page.

Copy the url after you upload the pic.jpg. On the "reply to" window click on the "display image" icon and paste the url from your gallery picture. The picture will be displayed where you place the cursor.

I just had my slide topper replace this spring and it shows no signs of the problem.

Call me if you have trouble.

Danny
