Thumbs up Desert Rat IX

Hello to all,

Now that a great rally is over, you should be sorry that you were not there.

For a quick run down; 1 day of rain, 1 day of wind and rain, the tent is up- the tent is down - the tent is back up, three gorgeous days of fun in the sun.

A total of 108 coaches joined together to have a great rally in the desert. As for the pot-lucks, the Alpine ladies outdid themselves again and provided great eating. The catered BBQ was hot off the rack and good to the lips. Wine and cheese made everyone ready for the sing-a-long around the campfire. Good times- Good fun.

A big thanks to Diana and Gary Shanander for a Job-Well-Done!

Plan now to join us next January where our hosts, Kathy and Carl Nickolson already have big plans in work to help us celebrate our 10th year anniversary. Be sure to add this to your travel plans.

Look for the Quartzsite 2010 pictures on the Alpine Coach web page coming soon.

We ate like fat dogs in the desert.
EngineerAnnie was rained in one day (as was I), and EngineerMike'd in the next day while I was busy w/ roving Q&A, so I had to take Ann to the Big Tent in town the following day. She called her friend and said, "I was so bored I bought everything in sight." Fortunatley not quite so, but we had a really great time seeing all that came and meeting all the first timers. Looking forward to DRRX.
Hope to see you all there!
