Dining Tabletop Failure

In our '05 Alpine, we have the dining table with a leaf and four chairs. The top material is the same as the countertops throughout the coach. The top material failed on part of the table. It split at the edge and lifted. Is it worthwhile trying to remove the old material to reuse the wood below or just start fom scratch? Idon't guess we will have any luck matching the material. Any idea of what the stuff is on those countertops?
Thanks, Mike

countertop is Karadon.
If you can't get the pattern matched easily, you can go to any countertop fabricator & get a near match in Corian or whatever (Granite?).

Thanks Mike,
I am curious why the material failed. Perhaps the wood underneath warped. I have a piece of the Karadon what came with the coach that has a number on the back so if I can find a supplier of the material, I can getit matched up.

I was speaking with carolyn at aubrys RV and they have a number of colors and pieces of karadon when they bought western rv's parts at auction. I was adding a computer table and she had a matching color for our alpine.
