DVD Home Theater System

I have the Sony DAV-DX150 Sound System that has bit the dust and needs to be replaced. Has anyone found a good replacement for the original sound systems?

Most any surround sound system can be used, just attach the speakers to the new system. I went a step further, removed the sound system completely and installed a Samsung Sound Bar., see Quick Tips and Easy Mods sticky above.

A couple of years ago I found a Panasonic Blu-ray Home-Theater-In-A-Box surround system that was the perfect size to fit in the compartment. But it is discontinued as well. There are not a lot of home theater in a box systems out there anymore since many people have gone the sound bar route.

I would love to put my home Sony A/V receiver in there, but it simply won't fit. Not even close!

I would suggest a search for "home theater in a box" and see what is available. Panasonic used to make a few models the right size. WRV put a Panasonic DVD home theater in a box system in my '04 coach originally.

I replaced the factory Sony system with the Sony BDV-T58 Blu-Ray Home Theater system. You can use the factory speakers since the connectors are the same. Just plug them in. The Sub Woofer fits nicely next to the wall and driver seat. System also has 2 switchable HDMI inputs and one HDMI output to your TV. One input can be Satellite and the other Play Station or ???? Works great.

I replaced my OEM Kenwood DVD surround-Sound system with a SONY Blu-Ray BDV-E390 system, Here's a link to Amazon.com:
http://www.amazon.com/Sony-BDVE390-B.../dp/B006U1YU8G
It fit in the same slot above the drivers seat with lots of room to spare. I didn't use the speakers that came with the Blu-Ray because I didn't want to deal with the mounting issues and the old speakers work just fine. But, I had to cut off the old connectors on the end of the speaker wires to splice in the new different style wire connectors that connect in the back. I think I also had to buy a new optical or HDMI cable to hook it to my OEM Sharp TVů the old system just had the old plug in connectors with the red, white, green, blue, etc., ends. I hope I remember that correctly.

BTW - If you need further quality advice on AV or Satellite systems "Jim A" is my "go to" guy
