Echo Charger

Thinking my echo charger may be done. Still have to find where it is located though think it may be beside the inverter down in that little hole in the back by the bed. Tried reading around how to tell if one is bad, but not much luck. All the batteries got replaced this year and charged when put in storage so know they are good and if the echo was working should be able to keep them up. Sitting in the storage building plugged up, everything turned off and the engine batteries drain down after a few weeks. House batteries are fine. Curious if better to just replace it with the same or anyone used the AmpLStart one, which is lower priced and seems to get decent reviews.

Also did most Alpines come with battery isolators? Mine has one in the battery bay and tried to follow the cabling to understand. Been slowly marking them as I figure out what they do. Not sure I could even figure out if it's hooked up right. Like any of them can see mods do over the years - not all for better. Looked through the owners manual and didn't notice an isolator talked about. Have to dig through the electrical layouts

thanks
Bruce

I've had my Echo Charger die a few times now, so I'm going to be replacing with one of these:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Not sure if it will be better or not, but I don't want to keep spending money on new Echo Chargers.

That said, once you find your Echo make sure that the fuses are good. There are two, one in each lead going to the battery banks.
