I just installed an Echo Charger on my 2005 Alpine Coach. I attached it to the fuse panel lid in back of the batterys. Where should I have placed it? I was concerned about adding wire length as the instructions said this would deminish the charging.

On the older coaches the Echo Charger was installed with the inverter/charger in the bedroom closet. Extending the wires is not a problem as the current load is very low. As long as it is installed where it cannot get wet and has good ventilation it doesn't matter where you put it.

John:

Mine is mounted underneath in the same bin as the inverter, mounted to the underside of the floor. The installation manual suggests mounting it near the inverter. Mine is only a foot away and only three more feet to the batteries.
