engine block heater

Is there a 110v engine block heater in a 2008 Alpine.. i have an aqua hot also but is winterized and camco says not to heat the -50 degree antifreeze in the water lines as it will degrade it so cannot use the engine pre heat switch on the aqua hot panel.. -10 here in Montana this morning...Mel

This may just be stabbing in the dark, but you might want to try hanging a couple of 110v shop lights with 50 to 60 watt heavy duty incandescent light bulbs under the hood, front and rear, down toward the lower part of the engine.

Proabably not--at least not as an OEM option from WRV. Your Cummins engine has grid heaters which heat the air entering the engine--leave ignition in "on" postion for 10-15 sec before starting. If the chassis bats can turn the engine over, the grid heaters should heat the intake air enough to get the engine started. Have to tell you--10 degrees below sounds more like a geography issue--too far north.

Was hoping to make it to Desert Rat but due to illness had to cancel.. yes, being up north has its ups and downs.. Have rig winterized and covered and plugged in so will just sit till we can head out. not down to -10 to -20 too often but could.. more snow today.. just hunker down.. thanks for the replies.. Mel
