I have to correct some information I posted earlier. The MotoStat HD dish available now will not get the 2 planned new Directv satellites. The two advantages to it over the dome type is the rain/dew issue and it will get all 3 of the present satellites at the same time.

Due to:

Being slightly obsessive compulsive and a bit of a perfectionist.

Having too much time on my hands while staying with family while my coach is in for repairs.

Ordering a coach new for the first time.

Trying to figure out in advance any options that I could order to make the entertainment system better.

This has occurred:

I am probably driving my dealer and the poor soul at the factory that has to deal with me crazy.

I had a couple of epiphanies,

1. At home I have installed a large screen HDTV with satellite, surround sound and DVD player. After years of my wife not being able to operate the system by her self I set up a Harmony remote to "do it all" with one remote. When I am home, sometimes the remote will do strange things for her (possible wrong button caught with her fingernails). When I am out of town, major frustration. Her lament to me is frequently "why can't I just have a system that is easy to operate like we use to"? As has been stated in previous posts, at this time there is NO answer to this problem even with the low tech. way of only using low definition.

2. I have had my own business's all of my life. With different types of business's you have different frustration levels with your customers. My last business was spa repair. This was the best for happy customers, they were getting something they loved working again, and it is a relatively simple system, hot water. At the other end of the scale is WRV and high end motor homes. WE ALL want everything to work perfectly when we have paid big bucks for a luxury home on wheels. The problem they have is they are working with many suppliers for all of the different systems that we want and they provide. When one of the systems has problems with their product WRV has to be the "middle man," as they should and get it fixed in a timely manner. With the entertainment system there too many options and customer wants with no way to make it "easy to use."

So even though I have had my own frustration with wanting the perfect coach, just the way I want it, I do have to take my hat off to WRV. I know that they have to build a coach that suits all sorts of different needs and wants. I do realize there has been some problems in the last year or so before the restructuring that I didn't have to deal with. From what I have seen posted these mostly seem to be problems from suppliers products. I have to remember that what is most important to me is that they have always come thru for me when it counts.

Sorry for the long post, obviously too much idle time to ponder the problems of the motor home owner and couldn't let it just run a round my head.
