Have not heard from Jim, was wondering if he was able to contact a federal mediator to help with the strike resolution since it seems negotiations have failed or broken down?

Jim here, Viv and I have taken the month of August & September to rest and relax, away from the bargaining table. We are on our way to the east coast and going by New England for the fall leaves and down through Washington Dc to visit the capital. No help there on the awning issue. Since we rarely use the awning , I have postponed negations until our return. After consulting with my union rep. I have pretty much determined that it will need a new magic box, so the work stoppage will continue until we return home in the fall.

I have to reach up and give it a little lift before it will open. It closes ok but something jams when it is closed and it needs help.
