entry handle on the right inside of front door

Has anyone added a grab handle on the inside to use as they come into the coach from the steps on the right side. Looking for a solid mounting area.

Melorene,

It can be done, but I don't know of any "just bolt on the surface" solution. The '08's and '09's have a handle like you are describing. Maybe someone with one of those coaches can tell you how WRV did it.

Upper end of the late model coach grab handles has a bracket attaching to the front firewall. Lower end dies to the step well. It is a great addition. The plastic cover over the front Vansco modules has a U-shaped cut-out in its top flange just about where the plastic cover has its largest angle, and the handle disappears up thru the U-cut and under the dash. The upper bracket to the firewall goes straight forward under the dash to meet the firewall.

Melorene,I manufactured and installed my own hand rail on my 06 Apex. There is a metal post under the dash where I fastened a bracket to.The other end of the hand rail was fastened to a bracket where the carpet goes under the pull out panel .I've tried to down load pictures but they wouldn't transfer so if you want to see how I did it E-Mail me at Nevadafinn@Yahoo.com

Here are some of Al Heikka's custom entry grab rail photos showing an excellent level of craftsmanship:

And here are photos showing the mounting brackets for the bolts:

And here is the 2008 factory grab rail:

The 08+ OEM style is a freeform pipe, and quite sturdy. Call the factory to order this as a kit

Do you have to remove the grab handle to access the fuse/breaker panel behind?

Not the 08 model handle; the plastic cover warps around behind it. Not sure about the Heikka model.
