Can anyone tell me if my 2003 34FDDS came with a any surge guard protection or do I need to get one?

Found my answer. Time to open up the wallet again. Better safe than sorry though.

Tiredvet,

We installed the Progressive unit linked below. It has saved us on a few occasions, but most of all it has given us piece of mind. Ours is hard wired in the basement bypassing the genset. We ordered two remotes. One in the sanitation bay so I can see the read out when we first plug in. The other is inside the coach to glance at every now and then. IMO this unit is the best value out there. I am sure I purchased it right here from RV Upgrades, one of the sponsors.

Happy shopping!!

I'll second the vote for the HW50C and also for RV Upgrades. They are terrific to deal with. Very helpful, friendly and they ship fast.
