Fantastic Fan Speed Switch

I have a bad switch in one of my fans. It appears to be stuck on hi speed. Is there a readily available replacement for the switch or is Fantastic Fan my best source.

Thanks, Terry

Terry-

Try these folks: Fantastic Vent RV Vent FanĀ* Adohen Supply

I got some parts from them. They knew what they were doing, and were pleasant to boot.

My old old fan (circa 1997) had a three-speed fan control. I replaced that with a continuously-variable speed control purchased off eBay, so I could run the fan at night with very low noise levels. Even the slowest original speed setting was too noisy.

I called Atwood this morning and talked to a lady in the Fantastic Fan dept.
I told her I needed the 3 position speed switch for my fan and she knew exactly what I was talking about. She responded with. "all I need is a name and address and I'll drop it in the mail". No charge for mailing or the part.

Looks like they are still living up to their reputation as a first rate company. It was so nice to be able to talk to somebody who knows exactly what you want without a big song and dance and a long explanation. I would have considered the service excellent even if I'd had to pay for the part.

FWIW ...

I recently learned that the Fantastic Vent Fans in my '03 has 2 - connection possibilities on the switch where the black "hot" wire attaches. One of those connections runs full speed and probably used to support a detached speed switch configuration such as in the wall. The other connection is what feeds the 3 - speed switch directly thus enabling multiple speeds.

I learned this while repairing the opening & closing mechanism and forgot which connection was used before disconnecting it. Now I know.
