The new brochure/web site really shows off one of the absolute best features of the 2006 model - the huge 10foot window on the passenger side. We have enjoyed our window tremendously.
We've seen people walking by pointing at this window on the coach. I suppose it is unique to Alpine? We've seen lots of coaches, but never seen a window nearly as large as ours.
It also talks about other great features. We love our corner "pass-thru trash" with exterior door. It makes trash management so easy - seriously a major RV livability issue. And things like the full extension ball-bearing roller guides on the drawers. Really fabulous.
Also, you can see how on the 36 FDDS the bedroom/bath floor plan was upgraded to include the bath sink on the slide. This provides much deeper cabinets both above and below the sink as well as more bathroom floor space. Also the closet has open out doors instead of sliding doors and has drawers underneath.
Oh yeah - we like having the Silverleaf monitoring system standard as well. And the whole house fresh water filter is nice, although we wouldn't mind
also having a filter just at the sink.
The special trash feature is available if you have the hydro-hot system. Otherwise that space is used by your water heater. And with the hydro-hot system you get a big drawer under the fridge where the furnace would otherwise go.
Previously models didn't take advantage of the space made available when you went to the hydro-hot system.
A lot of these details were "surprises" to us when we picked up our coach. We knew about the bedroom slide redesign, and had specifically asked for the VMS system, but the other things were just icing on the cake. It was like Christmas!
Hmmmm - can you tell that after 3 months we are still in love with our coach?
