Wow - finally the 2006 info and photos are up on http://www.wrv.com/html/alpine_coach_about.html ! I guess you got a few "sneak peeks" with our Meadowlands exterior. Sorry we hadn't had a chance to post interior photos. Now you don't need them!

I take back all those mean things I said about the 2006 color schemes. With some clear, well shot photos, they look great. Except I don't see Audrey's colors anywhere on the updated webpages. I'll check the PDF brochure; maybe there.

Yeah, Meadowlands is there. It's on like page 16 (or 15?) of the brochure, and it is on the "Exterior Features" web page. I think there are a few interior shots somewhere as well. We have the "Tuscan Maple" cabinetry. The interiors are not that varied between color schemes.

The new brochure/web site really shows off one of the absolute best features of the 2006 model - the huge 10foot window on the passenger side. We have enjoyed our window tremendously.

We've seen people walking by pointing at this window on the coach. I suppose it is unique to Alpine? We've seen lots of coaches, but never seen a window nearly as large as ours.

It also talks about other great features. We love our corner "pass-thru trash" with exterior door. It makes trash management so easy - seriously a major RV livability issue. And things like the full extension ball-bearing roller guides on the drawers. Really fabulous.

Also, you can see how on the 36 FDDS the bedroom/bath floor plan was upgraded to include the bath sink on the slide. This provides much deeper cabinets both above and below the sink as well as more bathroom floor space. Also the closet has open out doors instead of sliding doors and has drawers underneath.

Oh yeah - we like having the Silverleaf monitoring system standard as well. And the whole house fresh water filter is nice, although we wouldn't mind also having a filter just at the sink.

The special trash feature is available if you have the hydro-hot system. Otherwise that space is used by your water heater. And with the hydro-hot system you get a big drawer under the fridge where the furnace would otherwise go.

Previously models didn't take advantage of the space made available when you went to the hydro-hot system.

A lot of these details were "surprises" to us when we picked up our coach. We knew about the bedroom slide redesign, and had specifically asked for the VMS system, but the other things were just icing on the cake. It was like Christmas!

Hmmmm - can you tell that after 3 months we are still in love with our coach?

The '06 battery pack is 8 house/2 chassis. That orter do it, no?
On the down side the sheet metal maintenance station closure that keeps road dirt out of the fuel filter area is gone (RR bay); I presume this is a cost issue.
True to rumor, the new coaches will be coming with Goodyear RV tires. "Our" (see thread: the Good, the Bad & the Ugly) coach has the Toyo's and was likely one of the last. Those in the chassis building now have GYear's.
The HWH logic is fully electronic now (no more mercury switches) and all located in the small door to the rear of the FR tire. Comes complete w/leak in "our" case, no extra charge.
The big windows, as Audrey well describes, are fabulous.
And the Cinabar color is very rich looking in person.
I'd talk about the VMS, but you have to drive one to know...

Are you talking about the back wall or the bottom of the compartment where all the dirt gathers?

On the down side the sheet metal maintenance station closure that keeps road dirt out of the fuel filter area is gone (RR bay); I presume this is a cost issue." At Quartzsite this January there was a new '05 Quad with the 10 battery pack and no sheet metal in the RR bay. Owner also said right rear was the heavyest, do you think!

As for the bigger window, there was also a 2003 or 2004 40FDTS at the same meet with the big window. So as much as we would like to think there are new things for '06, something just go around again!

Sorry to hear your having problems with your PDI. Poor quality, shame on WRV, guess it'll do, shame on you.

The triple slide has had a long window for a while - not sure if it is 10 feet long.

But they used to have 2 large windows on the models with no slide on the passenger side. Just at end of the 2005 models they went to the 10 foot window on passenger side.

Yes, 8 house batteries, 2 chassis. Forgot to add that.

Yes, the Cinabar color is drop dead gorgeous. It looks kind of rose in the brochure, but in person it is more deep red/scarlet.
