Does anyone know where to go to find the floor tile WRV has installed in our coaches? I measured mine and they are 13x13 not the std 12x12. I have 6 broken tile that need replaceing. Any help would be appreciated.

If yours is a late 05 or newer I am pretty sure it came from Home Depot. You might check with our service department. We have fixed dozens of alpines and believe they could point you in the right direction. Lindsay

I am thinking of replacing the carpet in our ;98 Alpine with ceramic tile. Is there a particular kind of thinset and grout that stays kind of flexible that you use?

I was at Dave and LJ's RV Interior Design in Woodland WA earlier today, getting ready to have some MCD Duo Shades installed. They do flooring, including tile. I'm sure they would be able to tell you about the grout to use. Their # is (360) 225-7700.

The tile came from The Tile Source in Portland OR. the # 503-283-0668 This info came from Max.

<span class="ev_code_RED">Remember that the TILE changed every few years in the Alpine - so it depends on what year you want to match</span>.

We had all of our tile removed and replaced by Guaranty and we used the Porcelain Tile that is in the '08s - It is: " <span class="ev_code_BLUE">Tile Paraiso PS50 10" X 20"-- Vendor Dal-Tile SSC West, Inc</span>. ...." I contacted Da-Tile Sales Service Center in Eugene and ordered it sent to Guaranty - It was at the last minute as WRV was suppose to have it in Junction City & they didn't. You could probably get it cheaper thru Home Depot but we didn't have the time.

If you are taking it all out you can use whatever Porcelain Tile you want. We had ours laid in a Herringbone pattern and really love it. We tried to get them to put an Anti-fracture Membrane underneath but Guaranty refused to warranty it if we did. I wish we had insisted. We had researched this for 6 months and are convinced it is the best way to go. We have a loose tile in front of the refrig but it hasn't broken yet (grout cracked). This membrane is suppose to prevent this from happening - ECB Anti-fracture Membrane (www.nacproducts.com website)

Before I could post this, I had to get the pail that WRV gave me to touch up my grout. It is TrafficMASTER stainproof grout and comes from Home Depot. It is premixed and has Scotchgard in it. At first I thought that it stayed flexable, but now see that it just takes a very long time to harden. Now that I have told you what WRV used, I will tell you DON'T USE IT. I had WRV clean the residue off of our tile 2 times and still had to spend a lot of time cleaning more residue off 2 more times my self. I had to use very harsh cleaners to get it off, 2 types of Goof Off. Before I got the excess grout off of the tile, the tile would get dirty real fast. If you will do a Google search on it you will see that this grout it is not good to use.
