We are seriously looking at a 2007 Edge and plan to use it as a TOAD. Is there anybody here that has DIRECT experience with doing that?

Info regarding what brake system, tow bar, etc. will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Ron.
Yes, it did.
Lots of info and comments on the Edge. Seems it's a pretty good car and a bit more practical than the Navigator.
It's a done deal now and we pick it up tomorrow.

It's now ours.
The Dealer we bought our Alpine is a Blue Ox dealer/installer and they will do the work.

Sure looks strange in the driveway without the Lincoln Behemoth in it. The Edge is actually more comfortable and rides better. To say nothing about the 8 to 10 MPG improvement (more money for Diesel now).

Thanks to all that have responded here and elsewhere. Your info helped with the decision.
