Freezer Baskets and Racks....Update

I happened to run across one of my old posts and I thought I'd update it. It was too old to just reply to so I had to re post.

We had rusty racks and baskets when we first bought the MH last year. We looked around and I seem to remember the racks were overly expensive or unavailable.

I was gonna try to spray them with Plasti Dip but tried that white Flex Seal stuff instead. The Flex Seal seemed a little thicker and sturdier, besides I can make a boat out of my screen door if we ever get any rain in CA.

I removed all of the loose rubbery stuff and rust and cleaned the racks with Brak Kleen. I then sprayed 2 or 3 coats of the Flex Seal letting it dry between coats.

The racks we "painted" with the white flex seal are holding up great. It's been a little over a year and several thousand miles. They are in the freezer as well as the fridge. The temp changes from room temp in storage to freezing don't seem to be affecting the Flex Seal.

It was a cheap easy fix and it's been a lasting fix so far.

Did I mention that I like, cheap and easy.

It's far better to take some time, several months if necessary, to plan out the project to insure you achieve the desired outcome. If you're like me you want the best for her, no matter how long it takes.
