Unhappy Fridge Problem

I have a 2003 36FDDS. and the fridge has lost power. Doesn't work on gas or electric so I am thinking I have lost the dc current to light the burner or switch to 120 volt. Only fuses I find are 2 8amp fused located behind the fridge and they appear fine. Don't find any other fuse in the fuse panel located in the bath area. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

My Alpenlite 5er had a similar issue. Turned out to be the circuit board. Got new one from Dinasour Electronics:
Dinosaur Electronics Home. High quality circuit boards for RV appliances.

It would really help if you posted BRAND/MODEL of your fridge

Those two 8a fuses.....they were ON the lower circuit board??
IF so....one would be for '120V AC circuit'........electric heater elements
Other one would be for the DC Control Circuits (all fridge functions/display lights/heating controls and propane gas valve)

W/O DC nothing will work.

Using a voltmeter check/verify that you have 12V DC going to fridge..either at a terminal block or on lower circuit board
No DC....then MAIN DC Fuse/wiring is problem
YES DC...then need to check/verify that the DC Fuse on lower circuit board is passing DC Voltage.......test it not just look at it. Fuse clips may not be making good contact or fuse is bad

Fuse good..then need to check/verify that DC circuit on the board is working/

Brand/Model of fridge for where to test board.

Have you verified 12 VDC from the coach wiring at the back of the refrigerator?

If you don't find the problem quickly, you can call Dinosaur Electronics and they may/can walk you through troubleshooting the board while on the phone. If defective, they can sell you a replacement.

They did this for me and we discovered that the main board was fine but my elec heating element was fried and the eyebrow board on the reefer was defective.

I shipped them the board and they rebuilt and returned it in a couple of days.

Very helpful techs at Dinosaur.

There is a refrig fuse in the fuse block in the back of the battery compartment. It seems out of place there with engine and chasiss functions. I actually ran a new hot to the refer before I found the hiding fuse. Not sure about your 2003 maybe old scout could help.

Fridge Problem

I'm not sure all Alpines are wired this way, but on our 2005 FDDS,
our fridge 12 volt power comes from the chassis batteries, so if your chassis battery disconnect is off then your fridge 12 volt source may be from there. Just a thought easy to check out.
