I am the one that started this thread. I am reporting progress... or lack thereof.

I have tried every position for the bolt(forward and back) and I cannot get the lock to engage in the first position, and I have to close it pretty hard before I can get it to engage in ANY position.

I experimented by moving the bolt forward (toward the outside of the coach), figuring it would trip the latch sooner, but it doesn't seem to work that way. I can't seem to figure out how the mechanism works so I can find the right position for the bolt. If something is actually broken, I can't tell. I can manually push the latch mechanism in the door to the two positions, so I know that works. And it would seem that when the bolt hits the latch (which it appears to do) it would catch. But it doesn't, and I can't quite see what's happening.

You can call PTL directly and they are pretty good at dealing with coach owner's questions: 248-652-7998.

That looks like about the position mine is in. There's enough friction that the bolt stays where it's set but still can move. The optimum point seems to be just below the point where the bolt can't enter the latch slot. I tried to tighten the bolt so it wouldn't float (not knowing it should) and couldn't. So I removed the plastic cover just behind the door frame on the inside and discovered that the bolt you show is attached to a massive trunnion assembly that allows the bolt, when rotated, to move up or down - and that's all. There's no adjustment I can see. Possibly a gorilla could do it.
