Does anyone know of a good alignment shop in Pahrump or Las Vegas that can handle my Alpine?

there is a Freightliner service facility off of I-15 amd Craig Rd. They do a lot of truck work there. If not they will know who does align.
Good luck Larry

Bob,

Some alignment shops may align using lasers and some with the "old fashioned" method using strings & bubbles. I've had two "laser" shops tell me that their equipment won't reach around in front of the long Alpine front end.

Don't be afraid of the old fashioned method, some folks swear it is better.

Good luck,

Blame it on being first-time coach owners but we managed to ruin the front tires on our 2003 during just one trip (Homecoming 2003). After running the rest of the tread off at 30K, we replaced the front tires with steering tires and took the coach to a truck frame and alignment shop. Yup--the old boy used a steel bar and level to re-align the front--its been almost 4 years now and no more problems. So much for the fancy electronic equipment at WRV.....(Proverb--you can mess things up manually but to really screw it up you need a computer!)

Bob,

If you're going to FMCA in Pomona, you might want to think about going east a little ways to Redlands, CA and visit Redlands Truck and RV. They do precision alignment and also precision weighing of your coach, if you would like to have that done at the same time.

They are very accomodating. Talk to Keith Shomaker, 888.249.0124 or or e-mail him at

From my prior experience you may want to verify that the ride height adjustment is correct on your coach before having the alignment checked.

I took my 2000 to McBride's in Chino, CA to have the front end aligned because it was pulling to the right. It turned out the ride height adjustment was off, not the alignment. The front was a little high and the rear was a little low. I had a copy of the correct setting from WRV for my model year so I gave it to the tech to adjust it. Once the ride height was adjusted the alignment was perfect.

Sent you a PM, a copy of the specs from WRV would be appreciated since we also have a 2000 36FDS.

We have a 2000 36' (mid-door) and could use those specs as well...

Thanks,

Thank you Old Forester for the tip. We had our coach aligned and weighed at Redlands Truck & RV and were very impressed with their work.
