Fuel filler pipe cap

I have a 2003 Alpine Coach FDDS. Just recently, fuel started bypassing the cap whenever stopping hard or when going downhill after a recent fill up. I determined the fuel was not escaping through a faulty vent mechanism but actually slipping past the rubber gasket in the cap. As the filler pipe is parallel to the ground it is easy for the fuel to flow up the pipe and press hard against the cap when braking or going down a steep hill.

The cap only had four numbers and I believe they were 2426. I bought a new cap that looked exactly like the old cap and it worked for about one fill up. Does anyone know exactly what cap WRV used on the fuel filler during chassis production in late 2002? While searching the Internet It kind of lead me to believe it was from some model of a 2003 Honda.

I suggest you contact WRV.
Using the VIN number of your coach they should be able to tell you what fuel cap will fit the fuel filler on your particular coach.

How is it possible to contact WRV? They have been out of business since April of 2008.

They used the same fuel cap on all of them. You can get a green diesel cap.
Gates 31615D or Stant 10819D.
