FS1003 is the fuel water separator.
FF5488 is the fuel filter.

RvPioneer, the upper filter number you sent me shows a small seal that is separate from the filter. Will that have to be used also?

It is interesting that the 2006 manual only shows the water/filter separator. Obviously RVP knows the 400 has two. Our 2000 has just the water/fuel filter in the service bay.

If the rubber gasket you are talking about is what I have attached in this picture, Yes use it. This is used on the filter in the service bay with the electrical connection. Your FS1003. Make sure you take the old one off, it will be up on the threads.

Dennis, if you haven't yet joined Alpine Coach Assn, that info and much more is on the members side of the website. $30 initial and $15/year there after.

Safe travels

Sorry, this is a pic of the FS1003 with the gasket. I am assuming that the 1003 is in the service bay. My coach has the exact same gasket that goes on the treads of the filter in the service bay.

Guess we will have to wait for an ISL owner to respond.

I have a 2004 Alpine with the ISL 400 and it only has one fuel filter. The filter is FS1022 and is located in the service bay. I bought mine new in 2005 and all the documentation calls for that no.

Jim,

The 05-06 manuals both list FS1003 as the fuel separator for the ISL. This is a 10 micron filter. My 2005 ISL has a second fuel filter FF5488. This is a 2 micron filter. It is not listed in the manual.

Fleetguard has an upgraded fuel separator, FS19596, which is a 7 micron filter.
