My wife Sue and I are embarking on our first journey next Friday AM to the Alpine Rally in Paso Robles at Wine Country RV Resort. We are leaving Los Angeles via the 405 Freeway and then heading up the 101 North all the way to Paso Robles. I looked in "The Next Exit" and there are NO entries for US101. This amazes me, as it is a major North-South highway in California! Considering this is our first trip I'd sure like some idea of where diesel fuel can be had with some ease for my coach while pulling a toad.
We a very excited to be going on our first trip, and I'm looking forward to meeting some of the members who have been so helpful in answering my many questions.

I believe Next Exit is Interstate highways only-- thus ignoring 101. Besides, Paso Robles is only 520 miles or so round trip, and with Sue pushing the coach with the toad-- you shouldn't need any diesel on the way anyway.
When I travel to Paso Robles we go up I-5 to Lost Hills, Highway 46 and go west to the campground. Not as scenic as 101 a little faster and avoids a lot of traffic. There are also several truck stops on I-5. There is one in Castaic, a Flying J in Frasier Park about three in Lebec a Pilot and a TA, (just north of the Grapevine) and a couple in Lost Hills at highway 46 a Loves and a Petro. We will see you in Paso Robles.
