I contacted DAP today, and they suggest that using DAP 100% Silicone Rubber Sealant for the sink installation. they say the other products with the alcohol and water diluent cannot cure between the karadon and the stainless steel.

As I was cleaning up the sink and the karadon, I noticed that the problem started when water got down into the joint between the sink and the karadon through the joint in the karadon, just to the left of the faucet. I was careful to seal this joint with the clear silicone I was using as glue.

I was cautioned by a glazier recently on sealing a new shower enclosure: "100% silicone only, anything w/additives isn't going to last, and it will grow mildew."

Add us to the list of people that had the kitchen sink come unglued. During our last trip the DW noticed the right side had dropped down a little bit. Another lesson learned... had I seen this thread earlier, we probably wouldn't have run around all this time with one of the sink covers in place. Anyway, thanks to this great forum for providing me with the information I need to go fix it now I'm off to the store now to buy some 100% silicone glue/sealant and bar clamps.

I just completed redoing the kitchen sink in our Alpine. After searching the web and talking to several people, I used 3M 5200 adhesive sealant and also used 1/2" aluminum angle to secure the sink back in place. If you end up using 3M 5200 give yourself a couple days for curing. It's a slow process.

On our first trip with our Avalanche the kitchen sink came loose. (4 bottles of wine stored in it may have contributed to it). I temporarily propped it back up at the RV Park with 1x4 scraps I found. On the way home the large Flourescent fixture fell down. Fixed the sink at home with some more 1x4 on each side of the sink. Fixed the light with threaded screw anchors screwed into the styro on the ceiling and larger mounting screws. That was several trips ago and So far-So good !
