Genset Question

Do our Onan gensets put out 120v or 240v (with separate 120v legs ala a 50A RV receptacle)?

Thanks,

Mark

I would think that if the breakers, on the generator itself, are linked together it is wired for 240 volt.

My 6.3 KW Onan puts out 2 legs/lines of 120VAC through 2 separate breakers...(not 240V).

The Onan only produces 120 Volts. 120 on each output leg.

So there are two legs of 120v?

Just like a NEMA 14-50R receptacle which is wired into a two pole 50A breaker and supplies two legs of 120v to our coaches via the 14-50P plug?

BTW, this is for an Onan 7.5kw QD generator for the non-Alpine folks...
