Goodyear has a special discounted deal on (6) G670 (295/80r/22.5) installed at your site on the grounds for app. $3800.00. They said the mfg. date was this year. My current G670 tires turned 6 years old this August. I am in the market but what do you think?
I have until tomorrow (Thursday) to decide.
Thanks

Shop around... There are other very good RV tires for less.
You didn't mention how many tires. If you are talking 6 tires, that's $633/tire. 8 Tires: $475/tire <---- $475.00 each out-the-door is a good buy.. $633 each is so-so
BF Goodrich
Toyo
Bridgestone

Chris and Debi,
Goodyear was at the FMCA Rally this year in Albuquerque at the Camping World booth. Their "show special" pricing for those same six tires, mounted and balanced with new valve stems, was about $2600.00. At the time, they did NOT have the tires in stock with a date code in 2010 but I waited and had them installed in Bakersfield, CA (way closer to home) a couple of months later for no additional charge and with the proper 2010 date code.
At that time, I had contacted 6 tire shops in CA and OR (no sales tax) and gotten prices from $3400 in CA (Pete's Road Service with about 6 or 8 locations in Southern CA), $3555 at Les Schwab in Junction City, OR, and up to $4000. So, $3800 is not a deal.
Cheers!

I got top of the line Michelin's for less than that. Doesn't seem like a deal.
But at least no sales tax in OR. Some savings.

My after rebate price, last year was $393 each. With all the balancing, taxes, recycling fee, blah, blah, blah, I paid a bit more than $3,100 at Pete's in SoCal.
Yep. Lots of blah, blah, blah.....

Tire prices tend to go up and down with the price of oil. If you don't have to make a decision now, (and the rally is over so you may have done it). Once you get home check Costco, they will order them for you, they just won't put them on. Les Schwald or any truck tire store will, check around for a deal on that too. This economy, deals are to be had.
