I made a FATAL mistake....Went to the Tampa show....
Now I got the BUG!
No, I don't want to divest my "cabin" as I love my ALPINE, I want to do a complete interior "Remodel".
- Darker Cabinet/Wood stain,
- New Carpet
- New tile or hardwood floor
- Tile backsplashesin Kitchen and bath
- New countertops
- New water fixtures
- Trade out the PS table and recliner for a loveseat/dinette combo with matching couch for DS
- New wood window valances with MCD shades
- New light fixtures
I found several suppliers that can do this, but they are not local to me (Indiana and Florida) Anyone know of a good supplier/contractor reasonable close to Denver, Colorado Springs or Cheyenne that can tackle this major job?
And does anyone have any idea about what I should expect for cost?

My SWAG would be twice what you think it will cost!!
Sorry I can't offer any suggestions of places to get it done. Most I have heard about are in Oregon. Good luck with the remodel.

Mike, I just went to the Colorado RV Show where a local vendor by the name of RV Interiors had a booth. It looked like they could do everything on your list. However, I can not recommend them only because I've had no experience with them. I'm only providing 1 - vendor here in the Denver metro area that might be able to perform your remodel.
I'm starting to think about some upgrades myself. We really won't be able to determine our "list" until my partner (as in wife) finally decides to retire and starts traveling with me on a regular basis.
Good luck! Let us know howeverything turns out (with photos of course).

Patty and I are working on adding a fireplace and a LED TV that will rise from behind the fireplace. Took out the couch on the passenger side.
We are fortunate, we are in Indy near MH capital of the US. We are startiing the search for the proper fireplace (the 27 inch wide model seems the right size). We will let you know how the final product works.
Beware, the bug, IMHO seems VERY DANGEROUS to BSWOM!!!!

Mike:
That sounds suspiciously like a new coach to me.......... I'm not sure how you plan to explain away the change in VIN number.

Tom,
I just bought a fireplace loop DVD and play it on the plasma screen!! Nice on a rainy day. Much cheaper than the actual fireplace.

MILT
No way will I part with the Alpine......
Unless I can no longer afford it.
I looked at the entire spectrum of new offerings, and frankly, I can find better ways to spend a million dollars than on a new coach...

Mike, are looking at changing the upper cabinets to deeper cabinets? Mine look like they could be 5 - 6" deeper without interfering with the slide trim. Since we have the residential fridge, there's no pantry other than the small thin cabinet hidden by the kitchen slide when its closed.
The previous owner opted for a PS computer desk rather than the small sofa. He later added had a set of cabinets along the PS wall to look like a continuous line of cabinets from the desk to the mirrors. The only problem is that all of the cabinets are about 6 - 8" deep which can be somewhat limiting. I'm glad we have the cabinets but they just need to be a little deeper. Our only concern with making the cabinets deeper is possibly feeling a little more claustrophobic (like the cabinets are on top of you).
Any thoughts?

No, I'm not looking to change out any of the cabinets as while I agree they could be deeper, we are fine with what there is, we only want to change the stain color from the "solid cherry" which appears to me a bit "Orange"
to a stain somewhat darker like this:
Then new drawer pulls and handles and that's it for the cabinets and wood.

Ah! It looks like we have the same cabinetry as you. We like the "gold" appearance but that dark cherry looks very nice. Can the cabinets be refinished or do you prefer a different style as well?
I notice in your pictures that you have "can" type lights in the ceiling. Was that an option from WRV? We have the traditional 18" florescent lights. And our kitchen has a 3 - 4' recessed florescent light. I really like your "can" lights!

Looks pretty darn nice to me! I wouldn't change a thing but that's just me. Your cabinets look slightly darker than mine (solid cherry cabinet option?). I believe my cabinets are the natural stain per the brochure but the type of wood isn't specified. I've assumed it was oak.
The biggest difference between our coaches is yours being a mid-door & mine being a front door. I wish we had a mid-door but when you get a good deal on a used one you take what you get.
I would defintely like to replace the tile floor due to some minor cracking and extend the tile all the way forward. Our light gold carpet is extremely hard to keep clean.
