Great RV camground in Sparks, NV

We just stayed at a really nice 5 year old big rig park in Sparks, Nevada (East of Reno). The parks name is Sparks Marina RV Park. It is within a mile of the new Sheels Sportings Goods store, a shopping center with several big name stores including a factory outlet and several restaurants.

The park was on the 2009 Good Sam top 100 parks in the country and Woodall's top 300.

The park has 122 pull thru sites, 82 back in sites, swimming pools, wi-fi at ALL sites, laundry and small store. Their website is www.sparksmarinarvpark.com. Phone (775) 851-8888.

We stayed there a few years back when it was brand new...we happened to be passing through town when Hot August Nights was on, but didn't realize it. We couldn't find any park with a vacancy until someone told us about this new park (Sparks Marina RV Park). We stayed several nights and found it to be great and the people really nice and helpful. We were back there last summer, and had the same great experience.

One of the things we really enjoy is the Sparks Marina (a manmade lake) just across the street and down a block. It has a wonderful walking/bike path all around the lake and a special beach area fenced off just for dogs to play in the water. Good for dog and master exercise!
