Just received a call from Guarranty in Gilroy cancelling my 2006 fixit appointment as they are closing their doors. For those of us in Northern Calif where is the best place to reschedual service appointments?

La Mesa in Davis is an Alpine dealer last time I checked.

You might want to take a look at http://RVServiceReviews.com. This is the only place on the internet where RV owners can document their RV service experiences. There are over 1150 reviews nationwide and in Canada.

WE LIVED IN FRESNO AND USED GRV IN GILROY, BUT THE LAST SERVICE LEFT ME WANTING, HAD TO STOP IN JUNCTION CITY FOR CORRECTIONS.

WE FOUND

Central valley rv repair
5349 E. Home Ave.
Fresno, CA 93727-2106
559-255-6188
Att: MARK

AND THEY SERVICED TWO OTHER ALPINES WHILE WE WERE THERE. THEY DID WARRANTY WORK WITHOUT THE HASSLE WE GOT AT GRV, AND THE RESULTS WERE WONDERFUL. WE CAN'T SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THE WORK MARK AND GARY DID.

Based on the experiences I have had with Guaranty in Gilroy, I am not at all surprised that they are closing. Last fall they closed the service center for two months due to major issues and when they came back on-line, they still did not have the correct customer service attitude.

For warranty items, WRV can steer you to a shop that is approved nearby. For non-warranty issues, R mechanic in Livermore, CA has a great reputation, but it is sometimes difficult to get an appointment near term.

I paged thru the reviews at the link Gary posted above. Seems the reviews for the independent service joints are generally (some exceptions of course) more favorable than for sales lots.

Is there any place in the SF Bay Area to have WRV warranty work done? WRV's only suggestion was R Mechanic in Livermore and the earliest appoint is three weeks from now.
With a stuck slide and hydrolic oil everywhere I need some help.

Hello Jerry:

Sorry to hear about the hydraulic problems. If your Alpine is under warranty and it is an HWH problem you should be able to take any HWH dealer for repair. Some HWH repair centers in your area per the HWH web site are Buster's Motorhome, 2050 Orchard Ave, San Leandro, CA 94577, Phone: 510-895-9883, Dr. Scotts RV Clinic, 2351 West 10th St, Antioch, CA 94509, Phone: 925-779-1644, John's Mobile RV Service, 635 Bair Island Rd, Suite 106, Redwood City, CA 94063, Phone: 650-364-7916.

I hope this info helps.

Jerry,
For that, IIWM I'd try & find a mobile repair outfit here in the Sacto area & get the repair cost OK'd by WRV.
I don't know anything about Eric's Mobile RV Repairs @ 916.420.0656; just saw the truck & wrote the # down. Don't know any others.
You can also post on Yahoo Diesel RV Group Discussion asking for referrals in the greater Sacto area. There's a guy in Elk Grove recommended thru Yahoo groupies that does LOFs by appointment named Chad, 916.417.2439
