Hello to everyone:

First I want to wish everyone a Happy and Safe New Year. Well today after 27 years in Law Enforcement I retired. It felt strange when I turned in the badge, ID, Gun and equipment. It has been a great career and I know I'll miss it but I felt it was time. I am going to miss the kicking of doors the hand cuffing of suspects the chase the fights and seeing them in jail. The camaraderie with friends/partners knowing they had my back and I had theirs. I have the memories to look back on and to reminisce with friends so the memories will live on. What hurt the most are the brothers and sisters that did not make it to retirement they are missed and will never be forgotten.

I now move on into retirement, it is a new career and I have met many new RV friends and I will cherish the new memories.

Again Happy New Year, Welcome 2005

Dave

Dave,
We just did the same thing last week, retired from the dairy business after 33 years. Sold it to a guy from Chino! It is quite different not getting up at 5AM every morning to feed cows. So, we are going to head out of the cold & rain of WA. & head south, that ought to take our minds off of it!!
We have a 32' Alpenlite 5th wheel, but we may be looking for a 36'MDDS Alpine. I have been studying them for a couple years now in anticipation of retiring & doing more traveling. I am hoping to make it to Pahrump this month when the Alpine club is there, maybe we will run into you there if you are going.
Happy New Year to you and enjoy your retirement.

Hello Larry and Linda:

Donna and I live within a ½ mile of the dairy farms in the Ontario and Chino area. As the President of Alpine So Cal, I invite you to please come by and meet us, the members will be glad to show off their MH and talk with you.

Enjoy a long and healthy retirement.

Have a Happy New Year

Dave

Dave,

Thank you and Happy Retirement to you too.

I did join the Alpine Coach Club last year even though we don't have one yet. Hope we can make it to NV the end of January.

Congratulations on your retirement Dave (and Larry). I am sure you will be busier than ever and, as most retirees I have talked to, wonder how you ever had time for anything while employed. I am hoping to finish work this time next year and am already getting excited about the prospects.

Oh, by the way, I replaced the chip in my HWH today. The modification so it will go into store mode while driving. Works great. It shouldn't be necessary to have this function (jacks shouldn't droop) but at least it no longer reuires pulling over when the alarm goes off. What a job that was. I was beginning to think I couldn't get the control box apart to replace the chip but got lucky. I certainly don't like the way HWH assembled the boxes. I have heard so many good things about HWH, I was surprised to see the vqry questionable engineering of the control unit assemblies. At least it is done now. Happy New Year to you and everyone on the forum.

Hey Dave,

You need to add something to your avatar, a beach umbrella in your other hand. Congrats, wish we could join you but alas we have another 10 years.
