Having wood floors installed

Hi all,
We have a 1999 Alpine Coach and would like to have wood floors
installed...we were told we couldn't because of our slide...Is this correct?
We been told we could but our installer said no, that the slide would rip up the floor....can someone let us know yes or no....thanks

we have slides and installed laminate and have had no problems with the slides. it really depends on the thickness you are selecting.

We plan on changing our flooring as well. within the next few months. In talking with an installer, there are two different ways that slides come in/out. As I wasn't paying close attention at the time, I don't recall which is safe to go with a solid surface and which requires staying with the same. It appears that faye has a National Seebreeze and this may have a different slide mechanism than ours Perhaps one of the owners of an earlier model Alpine can chime in with what they have encountered in re-doing the flooring. BTW, welcome to the Alpine family and to irv2. If there is an answer to an Alpine Coach question, this is the place to find it.
