Molly,
Welcome to the Alpine forum. If you click on "find" at the top of the page and type in "headlights" you will find many posts about the Alpine headlites. Apparently they are from a 1999 BMW 540. There is one post about a 2003 BMW 540 series, you might start at those posts.

My Alpine was built in late 1998 and titled as a 1999 model. It has rectangular headlights rather than the round BMW headlights.

The covers have not polished out well and I ask if anybody has an idea where I can get a new set?
