Dear DufferJim:

I am sorry you didn't enjoy our homecoming in Yakima. Basil & I have been members for 4 years. We were very apprehensive when we went to our first rally in Hutchinson, KS. I had made him promise that if I didn't like it he would never ask me to go again.

We found everyone to be very outgoing and willing to accept us as new members. It is a large group and we had to make an effort to meet people. Each rally we make a few more special friends. Our board has always been very approachable.

We love our Alpine and have just purchased our 3rd coach from Western RV. I am sorry you didn't meet Ron Doyle. I can only say that you had only to walk up to him and he would happily talk to you. He is the most approachable and pleasant owner of a company that you could hope for. I doubt you will ever meet the head of Country Coach.

We hope you will reconsider and give us another chance. You are missing a wonderful group of people. We had a death in our family during our Cheyenne, WY rall. People from ACA drove our coach to ND for us while we flew to CA. You can't expect that everywhere!

The Homecoming Rally..I am sorry someone felt slighted at the rally. Both Ed and I try to talk to those we may see sitting alone, but, if at our first rally we had just sat and waited for someone to smile and say hello, we may still be sitting. A smile opens many a friendship. We find the fun ingredients are present but, it is up to us to make them work.
We just joined the ACA last year. Jump in and join the party. We have found some really nice people at all ends of the Alpine family.

Ed and Dale Wilson
Bakersfield right now..on way to Bullhead City.

Barbara and I had a great time and met many nice people and new friends. This was our first Homecoming and not our last. We hope to see many of the members at the NoWACA Chapter meeting in about six months. We went to Bend OR last year and made to feel very welcomed as a new Alpine owner and ACA member and is the main reason we attended Homecoming.
