How do I remove the arms of my Flexsteel seat

The arms of my Flexsteel driver seat have worn out and need to be replaced/repaired. I cannot find the way to get them off. Can anyone help?

It helps whenever you do a post to include your what year your coach is.

On mine about 4 years ago, I had an auto/rv upholstery shop swap my arm rests from seat to seat. There is a trick that I don't remember and he just pulled them off with no tools. Maybe he pushed back on them.

The arms are spring loaded at the pivot point. Push in at this point and rotate the arm all the way back. You have to wiggle it around when all the way back as you have to line up a pin on the arm with a slot on the frame. Go to the "search" part of Alpine Owners" and you can find other threads on Flexsteel arm removal.

Mine just fall out on their own from time to time. The notch on the seat is roughly at the 10 o'clock position. As Bruce said, push the arm in at the pivot point, rotate it back to about 10 o'clock and it should pull out from there.

I finally got a reply from Flexsteel. You push the armrest toward the opposite side (inward) and then move it down to about a 5 o'clock position to release it if it was manufactured before 2001. After 2001 look for an 11 o'clock position.

I'm surprised you actually got a reply from Flexsteel. I'm still waiting for a reply to a question I asked about 2 months ago! I called as well and would probably still be on hold if I hadn't hung up after 15 minutes waiting!! It's now been so long that I don't remember what I wanted to know

Raise the arm so it is up.. Put your knee against the pivot point and press it as hard as you can into the chair,, While trying to gently move the arm beyond the full up position toward the rear.. When it "releases" you will know it, Then you simply pull it out.
