HWH Control Box Location 2000 40' Alpine Coach
I am not able to get the hydraulic motor to power up and operate slide, jacks, or generator extend. One of my past electrical problems was a blown in-line fuse near the hydraulic pump motor. There are 2 fuses in this compartment and I have checked and replaced both. I feel like I have blown another fuse because I was not thinking and raised my jacks and then pushed the slide retract. The slide started in and then got in a bind and motor stopped. I can not find the control box where the service manual shows additional fuses are located.
I have owned my 40' Alpine Coach since 2005 and have been through a broad range of mechanical issues. The HWH parts and tech ops support has been great but the location of the HWH control box is Alpine specific and I am asking if anyone can give me the location of the control box or have any other suggestions about getting hydraulic motor to power up.

No idea if it is the same as a 2003, but check in the front right basement bay. Forward of the little wall forward.

HWH control box
On my 2000 36FDS I located the control box in the center of the dash just behind the HWH control drawer. I believe I accessed it by removing the front passenger side panel that exposes the fuse panels and possibly the side panel of the dash center console. Hope this helps you out

...Fun Bus nailed it for early Alpine coaches, amidships, under dash, on firewall, behind HWH drawer.....

I found the control box on floor under dash behind flip out touch panel as per responses above. Gained access by removing closeout panel to left of main fuse panel close out in front of passenger seat. This piece is removed by pulling out from the bottom and left side. There were no screws holding it in place. All fuses in control box tested good. Went to hydraulic pump compartment and rechecked the 2 fuses on the relays and they also were good. Checked power to motor while depressing extend button on slide out. 13.2 volts at motor when button dressed. Removed 2 bolts holding pump assembly in place and rotated to gain access. Removed the motor and will order replacement from HWH Monday. Found several other sources for motor by searching number on internet. I am more comfortable calling HWH to see if they still stock motor. Opened "T" handle solenoid valves and used winch to retract slide out so I can travel to shop tomorrow to get new tires and ABS light on fixed again. Hope motor solves problem. Manual slide retraction is not what you want to do everyday. I will clean compartment and all connections before installing new motor.

.....internal failure on the older HWH pump motors is fairly common....the grounding post for the negative brush is mounted in a "bake-lite" material that is subject to breaking so the brush becomes mis-aligned on the armature?????? [I know the issue but not the names of the parts--oh bother] ...Older motors might be fixable but newer motors are of a different design that most local 12v shops won't mess with--so I am told....

Disassembled motor and cleaned up corrosion re-installed with added ground. Motor now works normal with generator slide out but will not work and I get a red low voltage light when I try to extend jacks. Will recheck connections. Anyone had this problem before?

Still get low battery light if engine running (alternator charging battery)?
Same question on shore power?
If so, sure sounds like a connection-- be sure to remove, clean and tighten connections at the batteries.

Cleaned the corrosion from all relay terminals reassembled and HWH system is working like new without purchasing new motor. Thanks to all for the help.
