I have found 2 wires pulled out of the connector to the back of the HWH panel. Does anyone know how to reinsert the wires. There are 5 wires in the white plug in connector, yellow,green,copper,white , and a red wire. I noticed the panel was intermittent and looked and saw the yellow and white wire hanging on by a single strand,when I took the connector loose they broke off.

If the wire is pulled from the pin or socket you will need to crimp on new connectors. The only good way is to use the proper crimper's. I purchased a crimper off of EBay a few years ago for $185. If they just need to be reinserted and the plastic housing is OK. Just remove the orange cover off of the socket side and reinsert the socket until it clicks in place. On th pin side there is a green cover (or lock) and do the same thing. Bates Racing is a good source for Deutsch connectors. Batts Racing and DeutschConnector.com . They do sell stamped connectors and you could get by with some pliers and solder if you are good at that sort of thing. You can also get the service manual for your 625 panel on the HWH website or I can send it to you. It has the wiring diagram and pin locations.

I had the same problem a couple years ago and had a difficult time getting the crimped connectors back into the plug. So I called HWH and asked them for a new connector. They sent me a new one with wire leads on them for no charge. I cut the wires to the old connector, soldered the leads to the new connector and went on my way. They were quick on the delivery and it has worked well.

Are you having trouble with a packard type connector or Deutsch?

Looks like you are dealing with another type of connector. I thought you were having troble at the 625 Panel. Sounds like you are having trouble with the touch pad in the console by the drivers seat. Old's fix is probably the easiest way to go.

Those connectors are common throughout most industries. You can pick up the connectors at just about any electronic parts store. The pins can be purchased at Radio Shack (well the used to be, but check). If they don't have the crimper, then you can solder the wires to the pins, then just push them into the connector. The pins will have little spines sticking pit towards the area the wires go into the pin that will lock into place when you push them in, if the plastic piece is not worn or broken for some reason. Some times you can just pry then out a fraction of an inch (just a little) and they will grab better. If you decide to remove the other pins and replace the connector with another 5 pin connector, you will need the tool that usually comes with the package of pins. It pushes in from the front hole of the connector and squeezes the little spine together allowing the pin to come out.

Thanks for the advice after a few days contacting HWH, they are sending me a new plug with wires attached. So since I had new one coming I finally got theconnectors out and was successful in sodering new wires in the connectors. I still will install the new one when it arrives, as it works but not pretty to look at.
