HWH Curbside level floor slide advice/adjustment at FMCA Redmond

Our curbside slide has scared me since new. Retracting the slide really loads down the hydraulic pump, particularly after the slide has risen, and is transferring to inward motion. It is a very slow movement in with the pump clearly under heavy load. None of the other slides, smart beds, or levelers load the pump down like the curb slide does. I have experimented with various lubricants on the aluminum rail, of which I have to do to keep it running. Dry, the slide hesitates and jerks inward. I usually apply some lubricant every trip.

I always assumed that this particular slide was just too heavy for the system, until one day last year when I witnessed another similar slide retract with far less effort and at a greater speed. It is apparent that there is something misaligned or too snug. The slide appears square, and travels in alignment with the coach body - all edges seem to land to the coach at the same time.

I am hoping that HWH will have techs at FMCA Redmond next month. Has anybody else experienced this, and had any success with methods to adjust for smoother operation?
