Does anybody know where the HWH level sensing unit is mounted on the '04 coaches? I didn't see it in the hydraulics compartment. Mine appears to be off some, and in need of adjustment as the front is too high then the control panel says it is level.

Thanks.

Hi Jim.........

I believe the sensing unit is in basement storage area under fresh water tank (between Propane tank and entry steps/HWH compartment. There is a carpeted panel with four screws.....behind that is the pipe for your water tank dump and a HWH electronic box mounted on wall. Hope this helps. I found it when I replaced leaking gate valve to fresh water tank.

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the info. I know which panel you are talking about. I will have to pull it off and check it out next weekend.

Did you check out your entertainment center wiring yet?

Jim

Hi Jim, here's a picture of the sensor, I have a 2003 and it is mounted on the basement ceiling behind ( to the rear of ) the water tank about midway between the coach.

I have been all over my 05 and can't find it. My 2000 was about the same place as George's.

Wayne, yours is just inside the small door next to the front entry. It's part of the hydraulic pump and solenoid area. Very easy to adjust.

Thanks,

If it is in there it is not obvious. On The 05 Quad slides the pump is rotated such that the clear cover is not accessible.

Jim.......The HWH unit I saw in mine does not look like the unit Jeff (George Banks) posted above. If that is what sensor unit looks like in the 04's...I am not sure where it is located. I will check mine out in the next couple of days and let you know what I find. Also, I have not looked at wiring for front TV yet.

Mike,

A unit like George/Jeff showed is what I think I am looking for. I didn't see anything like that in the HWH compartment, or in the passenger side storage compartments, so I will look in the location you mentioned this weekend.

mine is directly behind the fresh water tank in the middle of the coach and looks just like the one George posted.

I just saw the new units at the factory and my neighbor in the WRV lot has a 2005 which is the same. These do not use the unit as shown by George. they now have a small circuit board in the HWH control box near the bottom. There is a small knob like adjuster on the right side near the bottom of the box. The control boxes I saw had a clear cover. Hope this may help.

My 2006 has the same circuit board as discussed by dgerstel. There are 4 yellow LEDs clustered together in the bottom of the HWC control box by the hydraulic pumps, and they light up when the coach is out of level, just like the yellow LEDs on the control panel in the cockpit. When the coach is level these lights go off as well.

When you adjust the knob like adjuster it only takes a very small fraction of a turn to change the leveling of that circuit board. I got the coach level by using a 24" level on the floor and adjusting the manual up/down switches in the cockpit, then went to the circuit board and moved the knob like adjustors ever so slighlty until the lights went out on the circuit board.

Then I recylced the jacks up and down once from the control panel in the cockpit and we've been level ever since -- through about a dozen new locations.

Thanks,
Mine is as Oldforester and Dgerstel suggested. I found the instructions on the HWH web site http://www.hwh.com/ml35963.pdf look at page 30 MP85.6148
