We were at Coach Care in Orlando, the best we have been to, when our HWH system stopped working through the Silveleaf monitor or through the TV. After running some tests HWH is replacing the main control box, the one with the glass front. HWH is having to build one and will send it to us next week in Texas. Has anyone changed one of these out, and how difficult is it?

Greetings from Welton, AZ east of Yuma,

Sully, we also have strange things happening with the Silverleaf/HWH interface:
Hydraulic system control
A) Remote control will not control slides using primary pump but will on auxiliary pump. Can hear solenoid opening in hydraulic compartment but primary pump does not come on.

B) Jacks will go down using remote control but will not retract.

C) Silverleaf monitor on dash will retract jacks but will not put them down.

Did you have any of these problems or did it just not work at all?

I think we have our 6th leak in the hydraulic pump compartment fixed.Left rear jack seeping and a new one is on order. Rear jacks do not retract enough to turn off levelers down light. Trying to convince HWH we need the stronger springs.

Sully,The HWH box that is in the hdy compartment is a pain to change you will also have to readjust your level setting. That part is not hard once you know how.Have them show you where the adj are.If it's the HWH box in your 2nd compartment back on the Rt side it is easy to change.

Basil & Bob,

My problems match yours, and I now know that it will work on Auxilary, thanks.

Unfortunately it is the box in the front, and I know that it will be a pain to install. I will only be 25 mi from CoachCare Houston so I may let them earn the 1hr warranty money to swap them out.

I'll let you know if the new control box fixes the problem.

Sully, caution heading west bound on I10..just before the I12 split, and also as you enter Texas! Almost sent our 36' airborne two weeks ago! Note I10 from Iowa (Mile marker 43) to the Texas line will knock out your fillings! At 43, I drop down to Highway 90 to Lake Charles, leave a few bucks at L'Auberge, then Highway 90 back to the race track (Exit 4). Lonnger, but cheaper than RV repairs!

Thanks BernieS, I am reading this in Wallisville Texas, while tightening my fillings. We were on 90 in LA, but we had enough of 10 to shake us up real well. Thanks for trying, it is much appreciated.

By the by, another Alpine in our park, but we haven't seen any lights yet.

HWH sent a new control box, but further checking found a bad solenoid!

Problem solved!
