Does anyone know where to get a new hydraulic fan motor and pump for a 2007 Alpine? Our fan motor is scored inside and there are aluminum flakes in the oil. We are at cummins in Phoenix and they can't find a decent source.

Thanks, M & M. I don't know if the '09's use the same unit as mine. I did find the fan motor from RV-trader on ebay. Still would like the pump.

Dale,

I just phoned Berenson (Seattle store) and the guy said if it's for an RV, it's probably not a Berendson Pump/Motor. It's probably a Sauer-Danfoss pump/motor.

He suggested a visit to the site: www.sauer-danfoss.com

Without model number specifics, there's not much more I could do to try to assist.

The guy did offer one bit of advise regarding hydraulics on RV's: Good Luck (because apparently the RV OEM's don't really know enough about hydraulics to use the right pumps/motors to accomplish what they want to get accomplished. So, in the end, you might just be in good hands with Cummins.

Dale, this does not bode well for ours then. I am assuming, you are talking about the radiator fan motor, and the pump is engine driven if my memory serves. Let us know what you find out, as this may be something we all deal with over time.

Monty,

I would not worry. I have only been able to find one account of an other with this problem. I think mine was bad from when I picked up the coach.

I can't imagine that a product has no identification. We have spent months attempting to identify parts in our repair facility for various things and have always found a source.

I have the part numbers. Both are Sauer Danfoss parts. The problem is, some very large manufacturers have no way to sell to low level buyers, just OEM's and large distributors. Cummins in Phoenix was having problems finding a distributor to buy from.

I have the fan motor from Rv-Trader. I used Mike & Mike's link to Terry's post about a good supplier for these parts. The pump is now ordered and should be in tomorrow.

Thank you, all, for the help.

Dale- 1) did you need to address the fan motor controller?
2) can you post the part #'s & any other info (model#, capacities...)? em
