Hydraulic Leveling Touch Panel Dead

I just purchased a 2004 40 MDTS. The hydraulic leveling system was working fine, but now the touch panel inside the coach drawer is dead. I have the ignition switch in ACC mode, transmission in neutral and parking brake set.The leveling touch panel has no lights on and won't operate when I press the leveling button. Any ideas?

Check the wire loom connections right behind/inside the drawer area--sometimes repeated opening of the drawer causes the connector to the control panel to get loose....If not the connector, looking for offending fuses get more complicated--let us know...

Check the manufacturer website for the panel. If the problem is not the wiring, you can buy a new control panel and change it yourself. No Sweat I have done this before, but make sure the wiring is plugged in at the back of the panel first. I think mine was available from Amazon.com and from PPL in TX.

I've had the same thing happen to me. Simply turn off the master switch, (mine is on the right as you enter the coach on the steps), and then turn it back on again. That should reset everything.

If the above suggestions don't fix your problem, you can find the HWH 625 Service Manual on the ACA website, under the technical library. (It is also available on the HWH website for non-ACA members.) It has step by step troubleshooting instructions that will help you to diagnose HWH problems, including problems with the touch panel.

I recently used it to troubleshoot a problem with my slides and it saved me a trip to the repair shop and likely lots of money as well. The LED's on the control panel will tell you a lot if you know what to look for, which is in the service manual. My problem was a bad control box, which HWH repaired for around $100. (Mine was a simple relay problem.)

Have you tried it with the gear selector in "PARK" also it might be easier for forum members to help if we knew which brand of leveling system you have..

This year had to replace the control pad for our Kwikee 2000 Level Best levelers at a cost of $756, a real Rip-Off IMO

Hopefully your problem will be a simple inexpensive fix..

Try putting it in park and put your parking break on and turn off your engine.
Now turn your key to on (don't start it) turn on your jack light then try to lower them.
P.S. The first time I tried our jacks they would not go down until the parking break was set.
Just a thought.

Hate to ask the obvious question but it happened to me. Did you press the "On" button?. I kept trying to put the slides out and thought the problem was that I hadn't leveled the coach as it was pretty level already. Turns out the levelers wouldn't work either. That is when I remembered the "on" sw.

When you say blown 12 volt fuse in front. Is that behind the panel in front of the passenger seat?
